Biology Course

Note: Please select the items for this course as needed. This set is to make it easier for parents to quickly purchase all materials required. The necessary items to complete the course are the Textbook & Solutions Manual. A helpful supplementary item may include the Audio MP3 CD for students who are may have trouble reading or are auditory learners.  The course also has opportunities for dissections and microscope work. These are not mandatory but if you want a broader lab feel to your course, consider purchasing one r more of these items. The Student Workbook is also not needed but may provide further activities to increase interest and enjoyment.

Presented in easy to understand and well presented modules, this course may be the only secondary school biology course the student will need. Topics include: scientific method, classification, microscopy, biochemistry, cellular biology, genetics, evolution, dissection, ecosystems and more.

Biology is a full year ONE credit course typically done by students in Grade 10 although younger, motivated students may be eligible for the course as well.

The sample course outline is for the 2nd edition text, but this course can be completed using either 2nd or 3rd edition textbooks.
