The Latin Alive! series features original Latin writings, giving students access to the works of great Latin authors. As the third text in a three-year series, Latin Alive! Book 3 is an entry point to advanced grammatical studies.

•Latin Alive! Book 3 (student edition) This book contains sixteen weekly chapters, each beginning with the Latin motto of a college or university, divided into three units. Each unit ends with a unit reading that includes some history on the reading, information on Latin literature, and a multiple-choice question section to check comprehension. Every chapter includes at least one reading (the unit readings are longer, the chapter readings are shorter). Each reading includes an explanation of the phrases in the reading, a glossary, and comprehension questions. The last unit includes readings and lessons on original Latin poetry and historical information about Latin poets. Grammar includes more in-depth study of the subjunctive mood, irregular nouns, noun and verb reviews, the gerund and gerundive, impersonal verbs, conditional statements, and a study of different kinds of clauses (purpose, result, doubting, fearing).
•Latin Alive! Book 3 Teacher’s Edition This edition includes the full content of the Latin Alive! Book 3 student edition, extensive explanations, an answer key, and translations, as well as teacher’s tips, additional student exercises, and unit tests.
•Latin Alive! Book 3 DVD & CD Set Author and teacher Karen Moore continues her excellent Latin instruction in the Latin Alive! Book 3 DVD & CD Set. There are sixteen lessons on the DVD, each of which is an average of forty minutes. This brings the total length of video to nearly eighteen hours of instruction, all taught by an enthusiastic and delightful teacher! The set also features an audio CD of the unit review Latin readings.
