Step Outside (Studies in Creation for Young Children) Grades K-3

Step Outside is designed for homeschooling parents (or others) who desire to do nature study with young children but feel they need some help getting started. Each level contains suggested plans for working through the material in a typical school year. The heart of the program is the wide array of nature walk and project activities supported by nature themed readings, oral narration, art and music appreciation, penmanship/copy work, memory work and recitation, nature journal pages, field reference guides, and some excellent supplementary reading suggestions to support your nature study. This program will take the mystery out of taking your schooling outdoors.

For each level you will need the following:

Kindergarten
– Step Outside Teacher Manual Level K (or the K-3 combined manual)
– Step Outside Student Pages Level K (one set for each student)
– Animals in Music CD (used for both Level K and Grade 1)

Grade 1
– Step Outside Teacher Manual Grade 1 (or the K-3 combined manual)
– Step Outside Student Pages Grade 1 (one set for each student)
– Animals in Music CD (used for both Level K and Grade 1)
– Christian Liberty Nature Reader 3rd Edition Level 1

Grades 2&3
– Step Outside Teacher Manual Grades 2&3 (or the K-3 combined manual)
– Step Outside Student Pages Grades 2&3 (one set for each student)
– Four Seasons Music CD (used for Grade 2&3)
– Christian Liberty Nature Reader 3rd Edition Level 2
– Christian Liberty Nature Reader 3rd Edition Level 3
