Jan. 19, 2026 – Feb. 21, 2026 “The Chosen” Book Discussion

The Chosen is set in America during World War Two – a time when patriotism and national identity were very important.  The activity of baseball is also a central theme throughout the story as a distinctive American activity in midcentury.  The central characters are Jewish, and our discussion will revolve around seeing, suffering, silence and the soul, and Judaism.
