Great Ideas Through the Great Books: Level 2 On-Line Course Tuition

In addition to the regular "Truth and Lies" course, Tree of Life offers an online version that involves regular correspondence among fellow students and a tutor. While the book list is the same, students will proceed through the readings and assignments together, participating in online written discussions using semi-private web logs (“blogs”). The course still involves assignments and essays evaluated in the standard way, but the special feature is the opportunity for sharing and discussing the Great Ideas within an online class atmosphere. Students should be prepared to keep on schedule with the readings and to participate regularly with their postings and responses.

Evaluation: A total of 6 assignments, 5 essays and 8 blog postings.
