The study of geography, as it is presented in this course, includes a survey of the earth and its resources, the use of these resources by humans, and the cultural features of people in the various regions and countries of the world. The student will see the inter-relatedness of the many aspects of `geography`; that is, how the physical, political, and economic factors of a region influence one another. The course has been re-vamped to include an extensive Canadian component that will allow the student to explore the broader features of our great country as well as its government and heritage.
Geography of Canada and the World is a full year ONE credit course typically done by students in Grades 9 or 10 although older students who have yet to complete requirements in this area may find it helpful and interesting..
