Summary of Course: Gathering and presenting date; renting an apartment; developing a household budget; measuring and estimating. These are very practical math skills that we use frequently. This course is meant to introduce the student to aspects of mathematics for the consumer. The text is divided into three strands spread across 10 units. Each unit is designed to help the student to master the skills that are essential to living in our North American culture.
Average Number of Hours: 45 minutes daily
Evaluation: A total of ten tests will be used to evaluate student progress.
