Note: Please select the items for this course as needed. This set is to make it easier for educators to quickly purchase all materials required. The necessary items to complete the course are the Textbook & Solutions Manual. A helpful supplementary item would be the Lab Kit, while the MP3 audio is a great addition for the student who could benefit from having someone read the text while he follows along. The Student Workbook is also not needed but may provide further activities to increase interest and enjoyment.
Presented in 16 easy to understand and well presented modules, this course may be the only secondary school chemistry course the student will need. Topics include: classification, mole concept, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, thermodynamics, kinetics, acids and bases, redox reactions, solutions, atomic structure, Lewis structures, molecular geometry, gas laws, equilibrium and more. The lab kit for this course is highly recommended to facilitate completion of the many excellent lab activities in the text.
Chemistry is a full year ONE credit course typically done by students in Grade 11 or 12. Students should have completed at least Algebra I before they do this course.
