Summary of Course: This course seeks to lead the student into a discovery of art, artists, and the necessary skills to view and understand this form of expression. Art can and does take many forms but we will concern ourselves chiefly, but not exclusively, with the study of painting. The student will do a fair bit of research and in the end compile a personalized art history binder. Periods studied will be from early times to modern day. Many schools of art and artists will be explored.
Average Number of Hours: 30 minutes daily
Evaluation: A total of ten assignments, essays and tests will be used to evaluate student progress.
